Synopsis:

A sci-fi drama series based on the comic book, "Harsh Realm." After seeing the horrors of war in Sarajevo, Lieutenant Thomas Hobbes is ready to settle down with his fiancee Sophie. But the military has one more assignment for Hobbes: to test out the newest in military combat training, a top-secret computer simulation known as "Harsh Realm." Once inside the game, Hobbes immediately finds himself fighting for his life and struggling to comprehend what is real and what is not. Hobbes soon encounters Mike Pinnochio, a soldier sent into the program five years earlier, who now lives underground in the virtual reality world and who is less than enthusiastic about helping out a "rookie" player. Hobbes soon realizes that the only way out of the Harsh Realm is to complete his "mission": beating the high-scoring players, General Omar Santiago, a man who reigns over the Realm with an iron fist and possesses the secret of how to return to the real world.
