Synopsis:
A coming of age tale set at the height of the summer tourist season in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Frankie, has lived within the boundaries of other people's perceptions all her life. Her friends like vivacious party girl Nicola are always around but take her for granted. And local guys like Brad think she's just plain ugly compared with the typical beach bunnies that flit in and out of their coastal resort town. Life begins to change for Frankie when Brad's new girlfriend Josie comes to town. Josie appreciates all the good qualities about Frankie her longtime friends have learned to overlook, and for the first time Frankie finds herself really talking to someone about her dream of leaving town and starting a new life.
